BEYOND: SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY CENTER
Fundamental of Architecture 100B
UC Berkeley | Advisor: Jean Paul Bourdier | Spring 15'
This project explores how architecture can form from the city and its urban activators. The building is a conjunction of multiple and varied programs centered around a common set of interests. The form of the building is an attempt to engage with San Fransisco, understanding as a key part of the city's incredible intensity of intellectual creative capital. The dramatic central atrium, which is a conceptual approach to the city grid, is providing a unique experience for people to escape from everydayness and wonder beyond.
